Wilson Creek runs through the campground.

Wilson Creek, a Virginia-designated trout stream, flows through the Buckhorne Campground and provides a haven from the heat.

Wilson Creek is fed by a small stream that runs through the campground.  Tent sites E, F, & G along with RV sites 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, and 14 are located adjacent to Dry Creek, a small stream that runs through the campground and empties into Wilson Creek, a Virginia designated trout stream.

Wilson Creek flows through the campground beside Route 629, and remains flowing year-round.
